Room changes are common, but from the initial email, we don't know if the change is to the time, the prof, the room, etc. Allowing them to register then removing them at a later deadline would be less frustrating for the students. Some holds are out of the students' control, such as having a verified degree. Having a better way to work around holds would be nice. Syncing with oasis and 3-quarter plans would be nice. I'm not sure what you can do about this since it seems to be on their end, but maybe a good solution would be to have a tool for them to more easily sync up? There are often discrepancies between projected courses listed by the department and what actually shows up on ScheduleBuilder. I had to ask the CS department to resort to other measures to get me in. If I use a PTA to waitlist for an overlapping class, I then get blocked from getting off the waitlist since the time is overlapping, rendering my PTA useless. It can be difficult knowing who to go to in order to resolve error messages - the professor, the college (L&S for instance), the department (CS for instance), or the registrar. For instance, if I am registered in class A but want class B, but I only want to drop A if I can get into B.Įrror messages are vague and difficult to understand.
